A Level company - serving Flushing, NY

Meet the Team - Level Two Chimney Flushing

Every visit starts with

Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed

Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Meet the Flushing Team Behind Level Two Chimney Flushing

We’re a local crew, not a rotating cast. When you book a chimney sweep or inspection in Flushing, the person who shows up lives and works here, knows the difference between a 1920s brick flue in Murray Hill and a 1960s cinderblock chase in Queensboro Hill, and has probably parked on your block before. Our team has worked together for years, and we share one habit: we show you what the camera sees, we put the price in writing before anything starts, and we leave a documented record when we’re done. Corrine Halstead owns and runs this location.

Our People

Corrine Halstead, Owner

Corrine founded this Flushing operation and has personally overseen more than 38,000 chimney inspections and cleanings since 2009. She still goes out on jobs when a report comes back with something unusual, because she’d rather see the flue liner herself than guess from a technician’s notes. Corrine is the one who wrote the Free Second Opinion policy into our standard practice, and she’s the reason every single job gets a written price before work starts, never after. When she’s not on a roof or reading camera footage, she’s on the phone with homeowners explaining what can wait and what can’t.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been sweeping and repairing chimneys in Queens for 14 years, the last eight of them with our crew. He’s NFPA 211 Level 2 camera-scan certified and handles most of our Flushing repair diagnostics, especially crown cracks and spalling brick, which means brick faces popping off in layers from water damage. Marcus is the one who talks you through the footage in real time, frame by frame, so you can see exactly what he’s seeing. He’s also a serious Mets fan, and if a job runs long during the season, you’ll hear the game on low in the van.

Dana R., Senior Liner Installer

Dana leads our chimney liner installation and rebuild work. She’s certified on systems from DuraFlex and HeatShield, and she’s the one who measures, cuts, and locks in stainless liners on two- and three-story Flushing homes, including the steep rooflines around Kissena Park where ladder work gets interesting. Dana came up as a mason, so when a chimney needs a crown rebuild or a cricket, the small peaked diverter behind the chimney that sheds water, she handles it herself instead of subbing it out. She keeps a notebook in the truck with measurements from every liner job she’s done since 2016.

Sam K., Service Coordinator

Sam is the voice on the phone when you call (516) 240-9191, day or night. He schedules every sweep, lines up permits when a rebuild requires them, and makes sure each technician gets the background on your home before they arrive, including past reports from our archive. Sam has worked with Corrine for going on six years and keeps the daily route board honest: no overbooking, no “we’ll be there sometime this week.” He also sends the text when your technician is on the way. He’s the reason our arrival windows actually hold.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

Every Level Two location in the New York network operates under the same written rules, the Haven Standard, and our Flushing team doesn’t treat them as a poster on the wall. Clause 1: written price, written scope, and written warranty before work begins, on every job, no exceptions. Clause 4: a documented photo record of every visit, pulled from the camera scan and saved to your file. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every sweep, liner, crown repair, and rebuild we do in Flushing. The buying network means we source materials from DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia, Famco, and Copperfield at honest prices. The people on this page are the ones actually delivering that standard.
